- The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, approximately 200 km from Sankri. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Dehradun, followed by a cab to Sankri.
By Train :-
- The nearest railway station is also in Dehradun, which is well-connected to major cities in India. From Dehradun Railway Station, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Sankri.
By Road :-
- Sankri is accessible by road, and you can drive or take a taxi from Dehradun, which takes around 9 to 10 hours, covering a scenic route through Mussoorie and other picturesque towns.
Itinerary For Kedarkantha Trek with Camping :-
Day 1 :- Dehradun Rl. Station – Sankri (9 – 10 Hrs. Drive) :-

- Departure from Dehradun Railway Station at 6:30 am.
- 9-10 hour scenic drive to Sankri village.
- Enjoy the mountain views and the river flowing along the way.
- Arrival in Sankri, check into a guesthouse/hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Sankri (6,450 ft.) – Juda Ka Talab (9,100 ft.) :-

- After breakfast, begin the trek from Sankri via Sor Village.
- Trek approximately 4 km (5 hours) through dense pine forests and streams to Juda Ka Talab.
- Set up camp at Juda Ka Talab, a picturesque spot for the night.
- Share experiences from Day 01 around the campfire.
Day 03: Juda Ka Talab (9,100 ft.) – Kedarkantha Base (11,250 ft.) :-
Juda Ka Talab
- After breakfast, start the trek to Kedarkantha Base.
- Cover 4 km in about 2.5 hours; the trail is steeper and undulated.
- Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and set up tents at the base with a clear view of the night sky.
- Overnight stay at Kedarkantha Base.
Day 04: Kedarkantha Base (11,250 ft.) – Kedarkantha Peak (12,500 ft.) – Hargaon (8,900 ft.) :-
Kedarkantha
- Begin the ascent to Kedarkantha Peak early in the morning to catch the sunrise.
- Enjoy breathtaking views of surrounding mountain ranges (Dhauladhar, Swargarohini, Kinner Kailash, etc.).
- Descend back to the base for lunch, then trek down to Hargaon campsite (approx. 6 km in 4 hours).
- Overnight stay at Hargaon.
Day 05: Hargaon (8,900 ft.) – Sankri (6,450 ft.) - Dehradun :-
Dehradun
- Trek down to Sankri (3.5 hours) and enjoy the views along the familiar trail.
- Arrive in Sankri and take a cab back to Dehradun.
- End of the trek with fond memories of the Kedarkantha adventure.
