Day 1 Arrival in Shimla

Arrive in Shimla by the afternoon and check into your hotel. Spend the day at leisure exploring the charming hill station, once the summer capital of the British Raj. A stroll along the Mall Road will allow you to mingle with locals and experience the nostalgia of the Victorian era. Enjoy your first night in this beautiful hill town.
Day 2 Simla to Kalpa (2290mtrs)222 kms. 7-8h
Kalpa
After an early breakfast, drive approximately 222 km to Kalpa, taking in the scenic views along the way through Kufri and Narkandha. Descend to Rampur, the erstwhile Himalayan kingdom, before reaching Kalpa, where you will be greeted by the majestic Kinner Kailash mountain. Visit local villages and temples showcasing traditional Kinnauri architecture. Spend the night in a guesthouse or homestay in Kalpa.
Day 3 Kalpa to Tabo (3050m)160km, 6/7 hrs
Tabo
Depart Kalpa and drive approximately 160 km to Tabo, descending to the main Indo-Tibet border road. Enjoy a short photo stop at Khab, where the Sutlej and Spiti rivers converge. Upon arrival in Tabo, explore the ancient Tabo Monastery, founded in 996 A.D. and known as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas." Spend the night in a guesthouse.
Day 4Tabo to Kaza (3500 m) via Dhankar – Komic – Hikkim – Langza
Kaza
Drive about 60 km to Kaza, stopping first at Dhankar Monastery, perched high on rocky cliffs, and then visiting the scenic village of Komic, home to one of the highest monasteries in the world. Continue to Hikkim, famous for having the highest post office globally. Interact with the villagers and take in the stunning views of Chau-Chau Kang Nilda peak. Spend the night in a homestay in Kaza.
Day 5 Kaza Visit: Kye – Kibber – Chicham Bridge
Kibber – Chicham Bridge
Enjoy a scenic downhill drive to Kye village, where you can visit the renowned Kye Gompa, known for its remarkable Thankas and mural paintings. Continue to Kibber, a picturesque village with fortified structures, before visiting Chicham Bridge, the highest bridge in Asia, connecting Kibber and Chicham. After a day of exploration, return to Kaza for another night in your homestay.
Day 6 Kaza to Kalpa/Recongpeo (via Nako)

Begin your journey back towards Recongpeo/Kalpa, stopping at the charming village of Nako, situated around a serene lake. Explore the monastic complex of the Drugpa order of Tibetan Buddhism and take in the stunning views of the surrounding Himalayas. Continue your drive until you reach your guesthouse or homestay for the night.
Day 7 Recongpeo/Kalpa to Shimla

After an early breakfast, set off on the return journey to Shimla, covering approximately 222 km. Enjoy the scenic landscapes one last time before reaching your destination. You will be dropped off at a convenient bus stop, allowing participants to easily move towards their hotels or onward destinations. This marks the end of your memorable Winter Spiti Tour.
